Taking photographs of my dogs is one of my favourite things to do and I’m not ashamed to admit that I have had to purchase an extra hard drive to store them all in! I just love looking back over the memories of adventures we’ve had together and those funny candid moments that I occasionally manage to capture on camera. They give me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. So when MYPICTURE.co.uk reached out to collaborate and gave me the opportunity to choose a product to create something that I could treasure from one of my pictures, I was absolutely thrilled, I said yes straight away. I love personalised gifts anyway and if they involve my dogs so much the better so I couldn’t wait to head over to their website and start creating.
I found navigating the MyPicture site an absolute breeze, although choosing which of it’s many products to have my dog’s image printed on turned out to be a bit more difficult! The site has a user-friendly interface and intuitive design, all I had to do was upload my favourite photo and select the product I wanted to preview it on. There is so much choice though and I enjoyed looking at how my chosen image would look on everything from wall art to pillows, mugs and towels. In the end I chose to have an image I took of Lucia in the Lake District printed on a Photo Blanket, because I can’t think of anything better than getting a cuddle from my dog even when they are not physically with me! There is an option to add text to your design but I chose not to do that this time, I do however have an idea for creating a photo mug for my partner in the future with an appropriate quote!
I don’t know why, but I was really surprised at the quality of the blanket itself, It is made from polar fleece, with an additional layer of super-soft plush and MyPicture only use fabrics that meet their eco-friendly standards, The photo blanket is soft and super cosy and it really is the perfect accessory for snuggling up on a chilly evening, with or without your dog. It would be great for taking on outdoor adventures too so it’s good news that it is fully machine washable!
The beauty of the blanket though is not just the quality and comfort to me, I find it really uplifts my mood when I’m wrapped up in summer memories on a cold dark winters day when the rain is hammering down outside. Another advantage, and this applies to Mypicture products in general, is that you can chose photo’s or even deliberately take them in colours that fit in with your rooms aesthetic and give a really unique look to your home.
The print quality that MyPicture delivers is really exceptional, and the colours are vivid and bright. In fact, the company uses state of the art printing technology and HP UV-resistant ink so I guess it is not surprising! On the site there is only the option to upload one photograph per photo gift but if you wanted to create a collage type blanket you could always do that on another application prior to upload – I’m imagining a photo blanket of memories of a whole summer’s adventures now!
You can actually upload a photo of up to 60MB to the site, but me, being me (an impatient luddite!) did not read this before I started so I uploaded a much smaller image which still came out well, although in retrospect as the blanket I chose was in the largest size (200 x 150 cm) I wish I had noted this earlier. Still there’s always next time!
The delivery service is also impressive and I received my personalised photo blanket around a week after ordering it. Actually there is nothing not to like about MyPicture, the products would make ideal gifts and I noticed that they even have a Paw Patrol range so that could solve a lot of my present shopping woes!
