Dog Is Human Daily Multivitamins for Dogs Review

I think one thing that we can all agree with is that dogs are family, and most of us want to give our fur babies the same level of love and care that we would give our human kids.

Personally, my dogs have a full wardrobe: clothes for cold and rainy weather, cooling coats for the heat, and drying coats if they get wet. My spaniels are treated to numerous dog-friendly holidays and adventurous days out, and of course their birthdays are celebrated with a cake and gifts.

However — as I often allude to here on this blog — material things like cute dog clothes, special days out, and fancy gifts mean nothing compared to what really matters: your dog’s health. Excellent healthcare, appropriate exercise, and quality nutrition are of the utmost importance when it comes to caring for your dog.

We all like to believe that our dogs’ food covers absolutely everything they need, and in a perfect world, maybe it would. But unless your dog is living a totally stress-free life and eating freshly prepared meals personally designed for them by a canine nutritionist, it’s impossible not to miss something.

Even high-quality dog food can lose nutrients during processing and storage, and some dogs simply need more support than others. Puppies, seniors, very active dogs, professional sofa loafers, dogs with sensitive stomachs or joints that creak when they stand up: they’re all different. One brand of food can’t realistically tick every box for every dog, and the same goes for a raw diet.

Dogs are a lot like humans, and like us, they often benefit from having their diets supplemented. If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, it will come as no secret to you that I would rather spend my money on supplements that will support my dogs’ wellbeing rather than fancy collars, leads and coats. So read on to find out about my new go-to dog supplement – Dog is Human’s Daily Multivitamins.

When Dog is Human got in touch with me, I was swamped by my day job so I almost wrote my standard thanks, but no thanks response. But something made me click through to their website, and straight away I really liked the vibe of the brand. The understated packaging, the veterinarian approved formulation, and the use of human-grade ingredients with clear and transparent descriptions on their website all made me feel that Dog is Human is really a company that cares about our pooches – well OK, maybe the brand name tells you that!!

Anyway, long story short, I was more than happy for my spaniels Lucia and Maya to put Dog is Human’s Daily Multivitamins to the test. After a few weeks of trying them out, I have to say that I highly recommend them!

These multivitamins are designed by their vet team to deliver 5 main health benefits that are essential to long-term dog health.

1. Supports skin and coat health, helping to create a shinier coat and reduce itching.

2. Helps maintain hip and joint health by reducing inflammation and providing advanced joint support.
3. Aids digestion by using probiotics to support a more balanced gut microbiome and a healthier digestive system.
4. Strengthens immunity by improving gut health, which supports overall immune function.
5. Supports heart health, with salmon oil providing additional cardiovascular benefits.

You don’t need a science degree to understand the ingredients either, since everything is clearly listed and explained on their website.

Another thing I — and my dogs — really love about Dog is Human is that the vitamins come in a chew form and are available in beef or chicken flavour.

This has been a real bonus for me, as Lucia (pictured) has become very suspicious of anything being added to her dinner after going through 2 major surgeries last year and taking more than her fair share of antibiotics. The spaniels truly believe that Dog is Human multivitamins are treats! It is so convenient to give to the dogs as well, no messing around measuring powder into a bowl or anything like that.

I truly believe in the power of dietary supplements for dogs. I’ve been supporting my dogs’ diets with vitamins and supplements for years, and though both my dogs are seniors, people always think they are years younger than their actual ages. Genetics certainly play a part, but I also know that the support of dietary supplements has ensured that my dogs get all the essential vitamins they need to thrive — even as they get older.

Supplements aren’t about “fixing” your dog or trying to turn them into a super-dog. They’re more like insurance. A small bit of extra support working quietly in the background. Helping joints cope with long walks, skin deal with flare-ups, or immune systems stay on track when life gets busy makes a world of difference to their overall wellbeing.

Dogs today also deal with more than we realise. Less variety in their diets. More environmental stress. Fewer chances to naturally balance things out like their ancestors did. Adding vitamins and supplements is another way to support them, alongside good food, proper exercise, enrichment, and allowing them to sniff the same patch of grass for far longer than seems reasonable.

No, supplements aren’t magic. But they are a practical and sensible way to help dogs feel their best. And if something so simple can help them move more comfortably, itch less, or just feel better day to day, it seems like a no-brainer to me!

Remember to always check with your own vet before making changes in your dogs’ diet or introducing new supplements.
